Born on June 28, 1984 in anaheim at Kaiser hospital I started my life from the begining fighting for survival. The doctors did not think that I would make it. They said that the tubes from which I ate from were giving me the wrong things to eat and my body was extremely starved for nutrients. Later I made a full recovery and was taken home. The next day my mom had me in an olympic sized pool floating around with her. From that day forward I was known as "Guppy".

When I was young my dad had always gone to Golds gym in fullerton with my Uncle Joey who was a very accomplished bodybuilder for quite some time. As I grew older I went on to play competitive soccer for many years even going to the premier level.

After I stopped pllaying soccer I was diagnosed with Diabetis. I thought my life was over. Everyday my mom would give me shots because I was to scared. In the begining I took almost no insulin and the doctors thought that I might have been the first person ever to be " Cured" of diabetis. But that didn't happend throughout highschool I always worked out and was always the smallest guy around.

Everytime I would go train with the football team I would see pictures of Shawn Ray hanging in the gym at El Dorado highschool and decided that one day that would be me. I began bodybuilding and was the phenom at my school but experienced many problems with diabetis going into shock at least twice a week. Later I would get this under control again.

After graduating highschool I began working in child care as a child care teacher. I was also going to school to become a preschool teacher but not bodybuilding anymore.

Outside of school I had become involved heavily in Jiu jitsu at Ralph Gracies school in placentia and trained under two very prominent black belts Eduardo Fraga and Brad Jackson.

Then when I turned 22 I decided to come back to bodybuilding. I came back with avengence I told everyone at 180 lbs I would win the heavyweight class at the Orange county Novice division not only did I do that at 212 but won the Overall too. and now my sites are set.
